C'est La Vie

 Hey fellas!

Happy new year, folks!

(For my desi readers - How’s the josh?)

So, as we have entered a brand new year, I decided to follow the tradition of writing my resolutions on beautifully decorated paper with great enthusiasm, only to forget the next hour. No, I don’t have any short-term memory loss. It is my behavior of getting over-excited for a couple of hours or minutes, and later you find all sorts of sad emotions on my face.

If you are wondering what’s wrong with me, please find a cure immediately.

Moving ahead, have you written down your resolutions?

Well, as for me, I have a resolution in my mind to have a planned morning routine that includes activities like yoga, a healthy breakfast, and skincare. Perhaps this was my 2015 resolution, which I have been postponing every year, like my plans to go on a trip to Goa with my friends. The moral of the story - both things are not likely to happen, the probability is zero, and never for once in my life, until now, did it turn out to be one.

(Crying in a corner)

Moments later, I decided to set realistic goals, and the first thing that strikes to my genius brain was - Productive life.

To convert my overpowering emotions into never-ending motivation, I opened Pinterest to find a few motivational wallpapers. After a few minutes, I found myself scrolling reels on Instagram, and then my motivation, zeal, opened the window in my room and jumped from there.

Ladies and Gentlemen, this is beyond rocket science.

Back to square one - time to lead a clueless life AGAIN.

Jokes apart (the above-stated facts are genuine, pretend that I am joking), I am writing this to you to present my retrospective analysis of 2022, hoping that they might benefit you and save you from becoming the next cringe king/queen.

If there is one word that describes my 2022, it would be BIRYANI.

Well, my life is not tasty like Biryani, so remove the taste factor. Of all the ingredients, Elaichi is the most hated or given the least importance while eating. In a nutshell, if my life is a Biryani, then I am the Elaichi in my life.

(Crying aggressively in the same corner while scrolling reels)

However, we Asian children have a peculiar habit that no matter how gross our life becomes, we never forget to be optimistic.

Dragging the optimism with me, here I am sharing a quote that inspired me.

Win in your mind, and you will win in your reality.

When I came across this quote, my brain somersaulted with gushing motivation. Not any quote made me stop my work and re-read the quote several times. I was happy to such an instant that I wanted to thank the person who wrote this marvellous quote.

The quote might look simple. If you recollect the past situations of your life where all you did was step back solely because you were afraid and agreed to your inner voices to let it slide, thus accepting the failure unintentionally.

No one’s life is perfect, nor everyone has a positive mind.

If you take a keen look, you notice several voices lingering in your head while doing an activity. Like every other human, we let negative thoughts overpower our mind and capabilities and ruin everything. It does not seem to affect you when you avoid doing something because you don’t want to be judged by people. On the contrary, it kills your ability and will power.

You want to create a YouTube channel? Then do it and flaunt your skills. You will come across a few people who have a problem even if you breathe. Life Is all about ignoring such people. To overcome such situations, you need to win over the negative thoughts in your head - the fear of being judged. And most of the time, people who spread hate sitting on a sofa like couch potatoes with no intention of doing anything good in life.

So, why bother even? You do you. If you feel happy about it, go for it.

If you want to pursue your dream, then do it. It will be arduous initially but will spread happiness in your life.

If you want to move out to a different city or country, do it.

Trust your intuitions, believe in yourself, and go ahead.

And for everything to happen, you need to conquer your negative thoughts. Win over them, and eventually, you will win in your life.
