NOT EVERY RIDE IS MEMORABLE

Thoughts.

This particular word has high potential, which is not visible to our naked eye. Thoughts can break or build us or do both simultaneously.

Every day, as soon as our eyes flutter due to sun rays in the early morning, our brain starts playing umpteen thoughts. A few thoughts makes you happy, and a few probably make you regret your existence.

And when you decide to concentrate on your work to shoo these thoughts away, your brain says, "Nah, bro!"

Woohoo! There you go! A free virtual roller coaster ride and the theme is - "Distress."

You have probably experienced this ride countless times and cannot stop yourself from doing so.

Why?

Your mind never listens to you.

Why?

Unintentionally, we let our past thoughts take over our present.

How to put an end to these vicious imaginary roller coaster rides?

Well, there are many solutions. However, before you say hello to Google, you should understand or confront your thoughts.

So, when you are in the middle of your distress ride - hold on for a second. Try to understand what you are thinking at that moment.

And this brings us to our next step - gauge the thoughts.

If it is related to your past, try to learn about the mistakes you have committed.

The next time such thoughts knock on the door, pause whatever you are doing, take a deep breath, calm your mind and tell yourself that the present version of you is working on those mistakes and assure yourself that you will never repeat them.

Secondly, if the thoughts are about the present situation, then grab a pen and notepad.

Simply put, clumsy thoughts - clumsy day.

You don't feel like doing any work because you feel gloomy.

Why?

You will not have an answer.

Argh! Life is very unpredictable.

How long will you lie on your bed like a burrito?

How long will you keep deceiving yourself?

What happened to your goals and passion?

Will your younger self be happy?

And, how to stop this saga of questions?

Get up.

Jot down the things you need to do for the day.

Start working.

Whenever you feel distracted, take a break. Listen to your favorite music, cook something for yourself, talk to the person you love, go for a walk, pamper yourself by going shopping, and you name it.

While working, the only fact you need to remember is that nothing can come between you and your goals. If you let these thoughts distract you now, you will regret in future for not controlling your thoughts. You don't want to repeat the cycle, do you?

Grab a notepad, list all the activities for the day and just get started. Do not let the fear stop you.

Thirdly, if the thoughts are related to your future, you need to have a debate with your brain.

If they are about your career, you don't have to bother much.

Why?

How can you work on your skills if these thoughts constantly pester you?

You cannot worry about the future and build castles in the air without any hard work in the present.

Therefore, any thoughts related to your career, push them out of your mind. At this point, you have a clear vision. You are on track to acquire the skills.

In a nutshell, sometimes, our thoughts become our most feared villains in our life. They lay several traps to bring you down. Often, not surprisingly, we become the victims and let those demons control our life.

Imagine letting someone else control your life.

The life - in which you could live with freedom and unlimited joy and write your destiny. Why destroy a beautiful world of yours by putting it in others' hands?

The same thing happens when we let our thoughts take over us.

And the only solution for this huge mess is YOU.

When you get stuck in unreasonable thoughts, pause for a moment to identify what triggered you to think so and the reason behind their appearance. Voila! You are halfway down the road to peace. Later, you will know what you should do to drive those fears away.

Pause.

Confront.

Accept.

Think.

Work.
