Where Are You

Every day, there is at least one moment where you get inspiration from nowhere and feel like starting your own company. You begin to calculate your expenses, book your dream car, go on a vacation and enjoy the rest of your life. Ah! Easy peasy lemon squeezy.

Not-so-surprisingly, your so-called "inspiration" jumps out of the window within no time.

And boom, you become all gloomy.

Later, you decide to start with work, and your mind wanders into space. According to research conducted by the Lazy Peoples' Association, this phenomenon is called "the act of blaming lack-of motivation."

Now that this is quite relatable to you, why don't you read further and find a solution to end this non-existent problem.

Running out of motivation is very common, and this could be due to the situation around you, the people you associate with, and you name it.

Thanks to the pandemic for contributing to the above situation.

Anyways, back to our question, how to find the motivation to achieve something big in life?

And the answer is, no, you cannot.

You don't have any website or a place that you can visit to get crammed up with motivation.

So, how to deal with this situation?

First, forget inspiration or motivation. You need to stop waiting for that "one moment." Unless and until you work for it, you cannot achieve it.

Waiting for that "moment" diminishes your energy to the extent that you cannot focus on any task but wonder when that moment will arrive.

So, erase all those thoughts that drain your energy.

Second, make a habit of practicing daily. Habit is more reliable. It gives you a clear vision of the aspects in which you fall back and your strengths. So, even if you are not motivated, you will do your work anyway because you don't want to break the streak.

Third, get your priorities straight.

Eliminate distractions and concentrate on your work. However, do not forget to take frequent breaks to recharge your energy. Relaxing your mind is equally important. Caution: working for 10 minutes and taking a break for 2 hours is something you need to avoid.

Fourth, try out new things. You might be wondering that this is an absolute waste of time. Nah!

Now, this is where you discover what you truly want. For instance, you might be in the middle of your degree when you realize your interest in playing instruments. So, does this mean you need to drop out of your degree?

Well, no, you don't have to. Just because you are interested in something does not guarantee a future because you might get bored of it after a couple of months.

So, take some time in experimenting with your likes and dislikes. Well, in a way, this is a way of relaxation.

So, when you have gathered all the information about yourself, grab a notebook and write down what you need to do in life. These goals need not pertain only to studies. It could be about working on your hobby, trying out a healthy lifestyle, quitting your job to pursue your dreams, or winning your crush's heart.

Make a plan.

You need to be true to yourself and set realistic goals.

Make a habit of practicing daily.

Venture into new possibilities.

Whenever met by failure, take time to reflect on the situation.

And voila! You realize that you don't have to search or wait for inspiration or motivation to hit your head for you to work.

It is the struggle, the process, and your dedication that matters. So, do not wait for that "moment" and start working from now.

Peace out, fam!
