Missed Connections

Life - quite an unpredictable yet powerful word.

We experience a saga of emotions, hardships, success and also learn a lot of quality lessons. Simply put, we usually feel happy if things go as planned and everything is under our control. On the other hand, we feel dejected because few things get on our nerves and mess with our feeling. So, if we were to take a closer look, we often chase things that are pretty much out of control. Eventually, you lose all your confidence and willpower in this never-ending race. Therefore, it is better to take control over the things that are within our vicinity.

Well, you must be thinking that “Hey!!!!!! We do know all this stuff. Tell us something that we don’t know.”

Okay, now that you are aware of your issues, the question is, have you ever tried to work on it? Did you ever give a thought to it? We guess it might be a “no.”

However, a subtle yet complex situation like this has got a solution, and that is “stoicism.”

Stoicism always attracts mixed reactions. More precisely, few people believe it to be the best thing to practice ever, and on the other hand, few believe that it has a bad influence on your life. But hey! Being positive is the need of the hour.

On that note, let’s understand what stoicism means?

Stoicism helps a person to develop clear judgment and inner calm. Simply put, you can only control the things that are a result of your actions. It could be opinion, desires, thoughts, and many more.

Secondly, it teaches you to be resilient, which is pretty much needed right now. Having control over your emotions and trying hard not to get overwhelmed is quite arduous than we imagine. However, this is not impossible! So a constant effort to stay calm and poised will prove to be worthy in the future.

(Knock, Knock!! It is okay to express how you feel, but make sure your emotions don’t get to control you.)

Thirdly, you should understand that you are not in control of what is going to happen unless it is a result of your actions. So, instead of trying to change your fate, it’s better if you try to overcome every consequence you face and strive to become a better person. Thus, instead of nagging, complaining, or crying your eyes out for things that are not in control, try focusing on your actions.

As you can see, the whole idea solely lies in the fact that “you control your actions.”

Once you get the hang of it, you’d be surprised because you feel more energetic, happy, and content with your life. Eventually, you become emotionally stable and calm.

Isn’t this what we want right now?

So go ahead and try these simple yet effective mantras for a better tomorrow. Remember, practice and patience are the keys to a happy living.

All the best, fellas!

Amor Fati!!
